Mission Statement
The ultimate goal of the Masters Academy of Art is to provide the artist with an education that allows them to pursue and produce an art that serves the public, elevates society and reestablishes the standards of art as a visual language that can be understood and felt beyond any boundaries. It is our belief that craft serves artistry, knowledge serves inspiration, observation serves invention and visual legibility in art has an undeniable communicative power.
More Than Just an Academy
The Masters Academy of Art (MAA) is a comprehensive ecosystem designed to support representational artists in their transition from students into consummate professionals. With the Masters Atelier we help develop an artists natural ability through the teaching of strong foundational principles in drawing and painting. Our atelier program is also meant to prepare students to apply to our Masters Fellowship program, a transitional program to help students learn to create more complex, meaningful and relevant works of art in a professional environment. This fellowship is meant to help students transition from students into professionals, helping to launch them into a more steady and successful career. With our dedicated Masters Gallery space and our dynamic public programs and publishing imprint, we also hope to provide a platform for enduring impact. Our efforts will culminate in the launch of a museum in 2027, which will include our Masters Fellows' work.
The MAA's flagship program is the Masters Fellowship, which provides exceptionally talented and dedicated realist artists with an unparalleled package of support to develop their skills, launch their careers, and create era-defining masterpieces. Fellows receive a generous stipend, comprehensive benefits, state-of-the-art studios, mentorship from leading masters, and opportunities to exhibit their work and engage with the public. An Unprecedented Opportunity
