This class is open to all students, aspiring artists and professional artists looking to improve their composition skills.
In this class students will have a chance to develop their own compositions and develop their own vision. Students are required to bring their own concepts for paintings in any subject matter. Students will have regular one on one appointments every Wednesday to discuss the development of their concepts. They will meet together with CAS Director, Ryan Brown, who will discuss with them every element and stage in the process of their work. In this class we will discuss the purpose and application of the following:
How to work from life
How to work from imagination
How to work from reference
How to develop your concept
Materials, including painting supports, colors, mediums, brushes, solvents, etc.
and many more elements of the process that pertain specifically to individual students.
The goal of this class is to help students develop a concept from start to finish and help them create a work of art that is professional and gallery worthy.
Classes run monthly and students may join the class anytime throughout the year. Tuition will be pro-rated to their starting date if the class is joined after the first Wednesday of the month.
Class will meet by appointment each Wednesday. 3 Wednesday's a month will be spent one on one with the teachers. One Wednesday of each month, the entire class will meet together where we will discuss each students project together as a group. Students will then have a chance to get feedback from a larger group setting.
Tuition for this class is $150/month
