Cast Drawing Class
This class is open to all students, aspiring artists and professional artists looking to improve their drawing skills.
It is recommended, but not required, that students enrolling in this class first have gained experience and knowledge through the copy drawing course. Students in this class copy from classical antique plaster casts. In this class students develop their accurate vision as well as learning to see and develop elements of atmosphere, form, space, weight and volume. Students will also develop an understanding of how to create and maintain an organized value structure. Copying from plaster casts has a long standing tradition for teaching students fundamental observation skills.
